does the fuel injection have anything to do with your transmission?
My jeep is 10 years old and the mechanic just got done working on my car today and he had my fuel injection replaced. I know this can help with gas mileage, but what else would the fuel injection help? does this have anything to do with your transmission, or affect your transmission in any way? For instance, on rare occassions, my jeep will struggle shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear (if I dont let the car warm up first). Will the new fuel injection help this problem? Thanks guys :)

- nope thats completely different part of the engine
- Not sure what you mean by "my fuel injection replaced" because the fuel injection is actually not only one part but consists of a lot of different parts and is more a system than a part. I am sure that he did not replace the whole system as that will be very expensive and unnecessary because it is very unlikely that every part of the system failed at once. I think that if he told you that he replaced the fuel injection system that he is taking chances and that you must be very careful of this mechanic. Ask him to explain to you exactly what he replaced. If their is however something wrong with the fuel supply or fuel injection system of the engine it can cause the transmission to misbehave because if the engine does not deliver the torque the transmission will not be able to work like it is suppose to.
