Is it possible to change over a multiport fuel injection to a throttle body injection on a 93 chevy s10 blazer
I am having a lot of trouble with my 1993 Chevrolet S10 Blazer it's a 4.3 V6 Vortec MPI. I have replaced the fuel injection 4 times and I continue to have problems. I am considering changing it to throttle body like the older blazers of it's type. I need help knowing if it's possible or how to do it.

- trade that bugger in
- Yes it's possible, have to get a older intake, and computer, take original on off, put older one on, I would figure out the problem with the one you have first, what part of the fuel injection have you had to replace? the spider assemble? Vortec is the way to go..Check the fuel pressure ate the strader valve, should have 35+psi, if not, might be filter, or pump.
- its possible but you would have to change the complete wiring harness and e.c.m. "computer"
- Sure, anything can be done if you really want it done. I am wondering why you've replaced the CPI 4 times??? These are a pain in the ars when they act up, but when you put in a new OEM unit I've never experienced another problem unless the truck goes another 100,000. They are not that hard to install, but the cost of a new part is fairly high. I would look into the cause of the fuel injectors plugging or the regulator leaking before doing this. To do a swap, you'd need a new intake, TBI, electrical harness, PCM, and a lower pressure fuel pump.
- you have some good answers here- and some BS. This system requires at LEAST 60 psi to operate correctly. Where on earth are you buying your gas or fuel injection spiders? Cheap gas only seems so- it's cost in ruined injection systems is horrendous. OE injection spiders, as stated, should go longer than yours are. You wanna see a good engine go sour, turn it into a TBI unit- YUCK!!!
- you can but it takes a lot you have to change the heads intake computer wireing guages. alot of work.
