- Peroxide cream volume 40 or 60 mixed with bleach powder. It made my jet black hair white blonde. It feels a bit dry or fake after that so i usually apply leave in conditioner and sleep with that on then wake up and rinse and style.
- Dont do it at home.. You will be sorry... Your hair is colored black????? How blonde...??? I would suggest. getting a heavy highlight in a shop, and keep getting heavy highlights.. You will save your hair.. and lots of deep conditionings...
- Oh dear, i know i can tell you "don't do it at home!!" but you wont listen because we both know its expensive. I can tell you i went to cosmetology school and did what you're thinking of doing AFTER i graduated with the second highest grade in coloring and it took me a long time. Honestly, after all the money you may have to spend on doing it yourself, you could probably have it done but here it goes. Have someone help you so you don't have black splotches in the back. Buy two bleaching kits (You can always take one back but with black hair you might need 2) then buy a box of color. whatever color blonde you want it to be. Be prepared becuase you hair will break off on the weaker ends. Bleach it. If it's not light enough, use the second kit. Then use the color you picked on WET hair. This will even the color out and tone out some of the brassiness. Because the middle on you hair strands has the most black color on it, bleach that part first, then go back and do the roots (im serious, otherwise you'll have over processed roots if you have to do it a second go around) Start with the back of your head and work your way forward. The front hair is more fragile. I would actually hi-lite it. I think solid blonde looks terrible unless you have short hair. If it's past your shoulders then do this: buy 2 Herbal essence hi'lite kits. Use one. Make it chunky. Then dry it and put a darker blonde over that. use the second kit and put a lighter blonde over that once you wash and dry it. the most important part of bleaching your hair is to keep an eye on it. you can always just color it dark again if it looks like crap but if it breaks off or damages your hair to much .... you can't do anything to help it. also remember that very rarely does simply bleaching the hair (especially if it used to be dyed black) make it the color you want. all bleach does is remove pigment from your hair. so to get an actual color, you'll need to buy a blonde color to go over it. try to wait a day before coloring after you bleach (unless you do the hi'lite method i mentiond) good luck.
