Which racing cast iron racing cylinder heads are best for small block Chevrolet Engines?
If you had your choice between Dart Platinum, Racing Head Service, World Products or EQ, which one would you choose for oval track racing only. What are the best reasons to deck them @ 23 degrees other than rocker arm geometry and a straighter intake shot to the intake valves.

- WORLD PRODUCTS MAKE A DECENT HEAD FOR REASONABLE MONEY. DARTS ARE OVERRATTED. ME PERSONALY I USE A BOW-TIE 041 THEY FLOW GREAT AND HOLD UP TO THE BIG BUCK HEADS.
- I've always been partial to the time honored Chevrolet 365hp fuel injection heads (if you can find them) or the angle plug heads with the 2.02 valves.
- It all depends on what the valve rules are for the class you are running. If you canot run a 2.02 i suggest either a 411x, or a 993 head. now, if angle plug heads are legal, i guggest any vortec type head.I see that you are asking about engines for dirt track, what type of car are you building? Some people angle mill them like that for reducing the cc's in each cylinder port. of course, less cc's more compression. some classes cannot run 6" rods so anything you can do for an advantage.
- www.powerheads.com may be of some help, they can do ANY heads
