I have to ask this. What has Ortho Products have to do with racing?

I grew up in a time when sponsors had something to do with racing. Cars had stickers for Holly Carbs, Iskanderian Cams, Hilderbrand Quick Change Rear Ends, Exxon gas, and the like. I can see the connection. I just saw a truck sponsered by Ortho Lawn and Garden products. Even if Ortho products kill bugs and weeds faster and make plants produce better. What has Ortho got to do with racing? Does Weed-B-Gone keep the gunk out of your engine?

  2. i agree there,, i liked it when the sponsors where like winston, types of beer, and oils,, now they have some stupid crap,, like gordons carpet product,, what does carpet have to do with racing???? and the viagra car??? what is all that about

  4. Well, what does kleenex etc etc have to do with racing? They got the money to sponsor the cars and know a lot of people watch NASCAR and exhibit brand loyalty. I like gardening and use ortho products, and I am a race fan.
  5. Sponsors pay HUGE money to put their name on a car. Whoever is willing to dish out a lot of $$ can put their business on a car. Viagra, Kellogs, M&Ms don't have anything do do with racing either, but they are willing to dish out the bucks. It's just a form of advertising.
  6. i guess it's kind of like what really does home depot have to do with racing or sharpie, kodak, kelloggs, fed ex, alltel, etc and let's not forget i hope jack daniels, coors, miller, bud, or jim beam do not have anything to do with driving at all i love having them all in though
  7. No, but I heard that Kotex will keep your radiator from leaking. Or, Torjon rubbers will keep the oil over flow from getting in your carb, or Aunt Jamama will keep that seat soft. Etc Etc. Oh, I almost forgot, that Viagra car really runs hard for about 2 hours, at least.
  8. so what do greatclips hair salons have to with nascar? or m&m's and snickers? or major movie premiers? i remember back in the day-guess it is all about who has the money to be on the hood these days
