Which point on the Europe/Asia border is closest to England?

Recently been to Morocco on my motorbike. Now I've "done Africa" was wondering how far it is to the Asian border. Not sure whether I should be heading down towards Turkey or whether Russia is closer. I can't seem to be able to find any info on what parts of Russia are calling themselves European and which are Asian. Any help much appreciated.

3. if you look at http://www.seat61.com/Trans-Siberian.htm#Route%20map you'll see that the official boundary between Europe and Asia in Russia is way over by Ekaterinburg, which is a long long way ... I'm not sure it would even be feasible for you to travel that far through Russia on your motorbike so I think Turkey is definitely the answer
